From the Middle East 

On Sunday, Iran vowed to enact an “appropriate response” to Israel’s strikes on the country. The strikes occurred on Saturday, killing five people according to Tehran – four soldiers and one civilian. The strikes were said to have been aimed at Iranian military bases to exact retaliation for Iran’s ballistic assaults earlier this month. However, Iran affirms that it does not want a wider war in the Middle East. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims the attack damaged Tehran’s defenses, without any further information.

McDonald's E.Coli Outbreak 

This Sunday McDonald’s announced that the Quarter Pounder will return to their menu as it has been ruled out as the source of a recent E.Coli outbreak linked to the restaurant. The outbreak has killed one person and sickened at least 75 others across over 13 states. The most likely cause of the outbreak is an onion supplier in Colorado that provides the slivered onions for Quarter Pounders. McDonald’s has indefinitely suspended their relationship and will begin to enter a new normal after the issue.
