The Students’ Press.

Founded in 2005, The Jabberwock is Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School’s completely student-led and-reported club newspaper, based in Richmond, Virginia.

The Jabberwock comprises student photography, editing, and writing teams and publishes stories on news, commentary, and features pertaining to the governor's school community. The Jabberwock also continues to publish stories pertaining to race and inclusion in the Maggie Walker community as a part of its Project 1937 series, founded in 2022 to address the school's past challenges and present shortcomings.

Now nearing its 20th Anniversary, The Jabberwock seeks to report stories accurately and fairly and serve as a forum for student expression at the Governor’s School. The paper is published monthly and is distributed to students and faculty throughout the school at no cost.

Any questions or concerns may be directed to the current editors-in-chief, Alexis Paraschiv or Sriyutha Morishetty, or faculty adviser, Mr. Peter Cashwell.
