Walking Pneumonia
Have you noticed lots of students coming down with a sickness in school? There is a pretty good chance it is Walking Pneumonia. Although it might sound scary due to its shared name with regular Pneumonia, Walking Pneumonia is much less severe and comes with milder symptoms, including a sore throat, a cough, and fever. Walking Pneumonia commonly occurs during the Fall and Winter months and mainly targets people with weakened immune systems. According to Clifton Lee with the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Pneumonia cases in children are up 30 percent already. In order to make sure you stay safe during this sickly season, make sure you keep washing your hands and prioritizing your health.

2024 Presidential Election Results
Many say this election may be the most important one in American history. And it all only came to end a couple hours ago. While this update is being written at 1:00 PM on election day, and no results are known yet, it is quite possible that we won’t be hearing any results for a while. In 2020, the election results were not released until four days after the polls had closed. In particular, swing states — especially Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona — are expected to release results later due to high voter turnout and high amounts of mail-in ballots. Israel’s Netanyahu Fires Defense Minister
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Netanyahu claims that the two were separated by a “gap” in their approach to the war in Gaza. This is a risky choice nonetheless, as Israel is currently fighting at two fronts – in Gaza and Lebanon. As Israel continues to swear retribution against numerous other Middle Eastern nations, the region creeps ever closer to an all-out conflict. After Gallant was fired, protests erupted in Tel Aviv. Gallant was increasingly in favor of a cease-fire with Gaza. His removal points to a grim fate for Gazans and will undoubtedly push Israel closer than ever to instigating greater conflict in the region.
